First Piggies!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hung out with my sisters and mom for the day...
Thankgoodness they didn't dress me up like an old lady:)
And celebrated with lots of cake with my precious family.
I'm only a day older than I was yesterday. Good grief, what's all the fuss about getting older? Over-rated!

Sharing my B-day with Jon Bon Jovi

I told my hubby that if he really & truly loved me, he would take me to the Bon Jovi concert for my birthday. For a minute there, I was "Livin' on a Prayer".
Whew. Guess he loves me. My desperate tactics worked and he not only scored us suite tickets but got 2 more to invite our rocker friends, Darin and Janelle! I was "Shot to the heart!" in a good way:)
This dude is only getting younger. He brought the house down...and it was a full ES arena.
Ummm. Well, they speak for themselves.
During the more sober ballads, we got caught up on the latest details regarding Darin and Janelle's upcoming adoption. They will soon be the parents of two children from Haiti...hopefully as soon as THIS May! The paperwork has been in process ever since the earthquake over a year ago. Their family of five will grow to seven! We can't wait to meet their 7-year old girl, Angel, and 2-year old boy. Hallelujia!
Love you too, babe! Thanks for "Making a Memory."

Feeling "Jazzed" ??? Feb 11th

Well, whether you're still a fan or not, getting a chance to be on the "FLOOR" behind the Jazz bench was pretty awesome...thanks mom and dad!!!
Feb. 11th, the day after Sloan's shocking resignation, the ES arena was "abuzz" with emotion, gossip and anticipation. Would Williams be boo-ed? Could Tyrone Corbin rise to the occasion as head coach? Would the team melt-down w/out Jerry? The media was in a frenzy. ESPN cameras swirling around us from every angle. Then the moment arrives. Tyrone walks the red carpet. Cheers! Williams leads the team onto the floor. More cheers!! A warm reception for the team, good thing:)
A birds eye view of Corbin and gang. He seemed nervous, but did a great job under pressure.
"Horny" shows up to lend some support...amongst another former player who seems to stir the pot when drama ensues. He just can't help himself, I guess.
Not sure if he cracked a smile the entire game. A look of disgust mostly. He has strong loyalties, can't fault him for that, I guess.
Williams, the controversial figure of the night.
The media anxious to dig a little deeper...
And me...somewhere in the middle of it all having a great time! GO JAZZ! I still love 'em and always will!

Inspiration for the day!

My new motto when the days get long and tough...a friend gave me this recipe book. Isn't it the truth!

Fantastic February!

Tiny handprints all over the backseat window. I just try to remember that one day I will miss this phase of life. Kinda cute anyway, don't ya think?
Liza's artwork on every window pane in our house (within her reach). I don't blame her for wanting to display such a masterpiece!
Spent some time at the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center in St. George. Not sure who loved it more...me, John or the kids!
And this is what a human popsicle looks like (poor kid). Brrrr. Mom had to snap a shot of the fun, big slide he loved so much behind him. Isaac was dunked a few times on the dismount (ie: crash landings). What a good "sport" to keep at it while mom got the hang of it, finally.
This gal doesn't have temperature gauge...as long as she's havin' fun, it don't matter.
That's my girl!
I must admit, the tongue curl trick is a trait I passed down to my daughter. I'm laughing because I do this when I'm in full concentration-mode. It used to get me into trouble at piano recitals. Drove my teacher absolutely nutty!
It takes concentration to tunnel through to the next slide!
Laser beam focus!
My sweet little blondie! We soaked in lots of sunshine in St. George.
Good times at the park!

January...Happy Birthday Isaac!

The party crew for Isaac's 4th. Quite the bunch. Don't worry...while the boys got their race car "shades" the girls got their lip gloss watches.
The party kids enjoying their pizza (or something like that??).
Isaac and party pals got to swing at the race car pinata! What a whack, kiddo!
Cousins!!!
The girl next door, Lexi. What would we do w/out her living so close and being our good friend?
Another cute friend and party girl, Karly!
Twins, Alec and Damon
All grown up...well, not really, but getting there. Can I shed a tear? This kid is the light of my world. Love him more than words can express.
Thought this was "blog worthy." Bought my X-Terra brand new from the dealership in 2003. She's become part of the family.
My prodigy musicians. Isaac had his first official piano lesson this month now that he is 4! Off to a promising start! We'll start violin next month with Miss Melissa:)
Future pole dancer(?)...absolutely NOT!
More fun at Discovery Children's Museum
Plenty to do for everyone!

GoBBle, gObbLE ~ November Highlights!!!

November is always such a colorful month! These smiles can't help but add extra warmth and richness to the season!Quite the pair these two.
Where his underwear should be (top drawer), we have rocks. Only a few dozen have gone through a cycle of wash. Boys will be boys. Oh, and yes, believe me, I do eat him up all day. Can hardly stand it, he's just yummy!
Hosted Thanksgiving at my home with John's Family. First Turkey ever! Stuffed with veggies and seasoned with a rosemary/thyme rub that my mother-in-law helped me with. A very moist bird! Purchased organic and fresh from Costco. A winner! Whew. I was so nervous.
Kitchen Table
Formal table with my china that I finally unpacked from my wedding(?!#*!)
Thanksgiving agreed with Liza Lu. Feasting on good food is just her "thang".
Sheldon...can't help but love him!
The girls...all "growed up". They were 7-yr. old flower girls at my wedding! Now they're big time college girls on scholarship at the U. Yikes.
The newlyweds, Matt and Jamie

The boys of the house.
Kathy, Sue and Ben
Like the first Thanksgiving feast...(Ben and Isaac)
Thanksgiving coming soon...
Project month...refinishing my front door was definitely a biggie. Got it done a few hours before a major snow storm.
Good thing I've got a little helper!
Bring on the snow!
Cousins, Gunnar and Garrett ~ Fun sleepover weekend!
Yippee for snow!
Our little hill is perfect for sledding!
My favorite part of this picture is the binki poking out...Liza's kind of attached to the thing. Any ideas for getting rid of the "bink" please share!!!
